Bus routes kefalonia Forum

Hi Katerina, I just called the KTEL bus station in Lixouri to hear what connections there are this summer. The answer is that there is no connection to/from Lixouri to Vrahinari/Vatsa Bay this summer 2020. The best solution in 2020 is to rent a car to be independent, especially if you are in a secluded resort. On Kefalonia the summer bus service usually starts around the middle of May / early June and runs through until early October. We highly recommend to check through the competent office before leaving. Zakynthos is connected to Kefalonia by ferry-boat too; the cross is about 1 hour from A.

The Kifisou bus station is the central KTEL Bus Station at Kifisou Avenue. The bus from the Athens airport will take about 1 hour to reach the Kifisou bus station. At this time of the season, I would suggest hiring a car to get around. In the summer there are connecting buses to the beaches from Divarata and Sami but I am not sure if they run them this early in the season. A taxi from Sami to Antisamos would be possible in that case. The buses from Argostoli leave from KTEL bus station at the harbour front. From Sami, they depart at the KTEL station on the harbour road. To know more about bus timings Check this link right here now www.lostvoyager.com.

The summer plan with schedules and times are not ready yet but I would assume that there will be similar connections this year. KTEL buses run daily between the airport and Argostoli, the capital of the island. The bus terminates at the central bus station, from where you can board another bus depending on where your accommodation is located. But as far as I know you can only go towards Argostoli and have to get another bus to Sami from the central bus station.

The KTEL bus station releases the newest schedule only approximately every 7 to 10 days. Depending on the summer month there are usually 2 buses per day from Katelios to Skala, if I remember right . There is an excellent daily bus service from Athens directly to Kefalonia and vice versa.
